Well, everyone has different opinions about the best, but we were at Royal Hideaway in April and loved it. The food was gourmet-quality, no buffets at lunch and dinner, and it is adults-only. Do a search for more of my comments.

Aventura Spa Palace!
Best pools in the area. Tied for best food with the Royal Hideaway. Full size 2 person jacuzzi in rooms. Free use of other resorts in the area. A little cheaper than the RH, but gets my vote since I have been to both!

I second the Royal Hideaway. Just came back a few weeks ago. This place was complete paradise. Let me know and I can email you pictures of this place. Also the food was amazing. You may have seen my replies regarding this place in a few other spots, but this place to me was the best AI I have ever been to.

Royal Hideaway by far!!! Absolutely gorgeous, fantastic food, service, etc. We just returned Wednesday - so sad! We're definitely going back soon!

Susan,

Would appreciate if you could email pictures of the Royal Hideaway. Their website leaves a lot to be desired, totally useless. It might help us decide which resort to book.
Thanks!

We have only been to one resort in the Riv. Maya, we went to the Royal Hideaway for our honeymoon in September. It was amazing! The people were very friendly and accommodating. The food at each restaurant was wonderful. It lived up to every expectation we had and more. We would highly recommend it and hope to return one day soon.

Ok, I can't find any good prices for Royal Hideaway. Where have you people booked your rooms through? Expedia seems to be one of the few offering the hotel and is charging $400/night.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Susan, I lost your email address or I would have emailed you directly.

We just returned last week from the Royal Hideaway in Playacar. Adults only! This was an awesome resort and we cannot wait to go back. Everything inclusive including room service and premium drinks. We can't wait to go back! The restaurants were awesome and the service at the resort was impeccable. I would highly recommend it!
