Although not travel related, a good post OP. I have received in the last 48 hrs., 9 such posts. People beware. This is a nasty virus and is really world wide right now. The topic and sender may change (actually the topic always changes) but the content of the post does not. Always says Hi, how are you? and ends with See you later, thanks. May be in Spanish. Do NOT OPEN THE attachment. Thanks OP

No kidding! Several people got this email at my office on Monday and then again yesterday...including myself! It came from someone I know (a business vendor) and I opened it! I saw no personal damage, except that our company of over 500 employess had to shut down the entire email system yesterday for several hours to clean up the mess!

Danger, danger. This virus will completely debilitate your computer. It will say, cannot open application SirC32.exe if you see that on your computer your already screwed. I will post a solution as soon as I'm finished repairing the computers at work.

Remember if you don't know who it is, DON'T OPEN IT!

Hope that help.

Mexicodan is correct. That is the fix it
for Sircam virus. It can also be easily found on Symantec' web site.

Those of you with Windows NT or 2000 should not be affected, but you may be a carrier. I would suggest checking out either Symantec or Norton and updating your virus scan.

This is a nasty little bugger that attaches itself to other e mails like a parasite (worm) and it may even be passed to you by the best of friends, so be careful. Good day to you all.

WHEW!! After reading this warning, I remembered seeing an e-mail that looked suspicious in my son's hotmail account(unopened, thank GOD!) I opened just the mail but NOT the attachment and it was indeed that message! I deleted it without opening the attachment and then emptied the trash, just to be sure! Thanks!!!
JJ

Hey JJ. I can't claim responsibilty for forewarning you. Mexicodan deserves the applause, but if I helped. Great. It is also nice to see a parent that monitors their childs interests. You should get an "Attaboy" as well. Good day to you.
