Villa Taype Nosara

Has anyone stayed at Villa Taype in Nosara? We are thinking about staying there with our 2 children and are trying to figure out the differences (condition, location, etc.) of the bungalows vs. villas vs. suites.

Any recommendations, comments, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I have stayed at Villa Taype several times and I know how confusing it is! I always stay in the cheaper 'hotel' rooms surrounding the pool, but have seen others. From what I can tell, the 'bungalows' are fairly similar to the 'hotel rooms' except that they are seperate buildings around the property and offer more privacy and a larger patio. I think the 'suites' are the newest rooms with more amenities such as TV and king size beds. Quite frankly, I have no idea what they would consider the 'villas'. Gee, I'm sorry I have not been much help other than the bungalows. You can send an email to them, but most likely Gabriela will resond and she can be quite confusing in her communications.

Thanks Ally. That was the most information I have received so far!

I have e-mailed them but it takes a week or so to get a response and then you are right, it is confusing!

Do you usually make reservations? Gabriella said they are necessary but I was wondering if that is true in June?

Thanks again!

No we usually don't make reservations. The only time we had a problem was when we arrived on Jan 2nd, and the Christmas/New Years crowds were still around. But, we were able to get in the next day. This time, we made reservations (for 1st week of May) because there are a lot of us going...we needed 5 rooms, and I asked for (and got) a discount because of that. This is the first time we have ever made reservations in advance (been there 5 or 6 times) so I SERIOUSLY doubt you would need reservations in June!

If you have kids, I suggest you stay at the quieter beach area of Pelada. There is a brand new hotel on Pelada beach - Pancho's Beach Resort. The owner's name is Steve. He and his wife and three kids run the place. They have new cabinas (great A/C) around a really nice pool. Also a fully stocked grocery store.

You will not need reservations anywhere in Costa rica in June. If you don't like where you are staying, just move
