Tulemar bungalows

Has anyone stayed at Tulemar resort near Manuel Antonio's. We were thinking of staying at Makanda but the beach area there seems a bit far and not really what we want. Tulemar's beach looks nice. Would love to hear from anyone who has any comments about this place

I stayed at Tulemar about 4 years ago and I loved it. The beach is small but it's nice. We didn't really swim much in the water there - just kind of waded - it was a bit rocky if I remember correctly. The beaches in Manuel Antonio are the ones you want to go to! As far as the hotel is concerned - the bungalows were clean and everyone was super nice! Next year I'm going back for my honeymoon but I'll be staying at Makanda for a change!

We really enjoyed Tulemar as well. Private, quiet, beautiful grounds with monkeys, sloths, and birds. They have some nice trails through the woods to a point and nice overlook of the ocean. Be aware the beach is a pretty stiff walk down a steep hill. Piece of cake going down, exercise back up - they will give you a complimentary lift however. We were usually the only ones at the beach besides the attendant. They have towels, a small bar, boogie boards, lounge chairs, and a couple of kayaks to use. While the beach isn't as spectacular as the one at the park it sure was convenient and a great place to relax.

It sounds nice. Are the rooms nice and where is it in relation to the park? Are there restaurants in walking distance?
