Buenos Aires restaurant prices?

I have looked on several websites about restaurants and I have found discrepancies in the prices (among other things). Are the restaurants mentioned on Fodors restaurant reviews fairly current/ correct? I am looking for dinners that would be US dollar 10 - 15 for the main course. I want a casual place, one with a bit of local color. Thank you!

US 10-15 would be 30-45 pesos, approximately. Most restaurants in Buenos Aires will not be this expensive, particularly informal restaurants.
There are certainly restaurants that do charge more, but they are they exception and not the rule...and they are usually not very casual or full of "local color."

Among the restaurants that I enjoyed the most on my last trip are la Parollacia Casa Tuya in Palermo, Social Pariaso in Palermo Viejo. The latter is informal and has a limited but excellent menu, full of local dishes.....

Thank you, drdawggy. I have been reading some of your other posts, I appreciate the information. We go to Buenos Aires, a QUICK trip, in October. By the way, I live in Georgia, too. My son and daughter-in-law are UGA grads.

you might have gotten confused with the $. That means pesos. U$S are written as I wrote in this sentence. So when you see just a "$" remember to divide by 3.
