We recently returned from a fantastic February trip to Costa Rica. I'll be posting a trip report soon but have been mostly trying to get all my photos in order.

Mary -- your pics are great! What building did you stay in at Costa Verde. We loved it there. What camera did you use? Did you use a zoom lense? Thanks for posting your great pics.

Mary, fabulous pictures! Thanks so much, I know it is not the easiest task to put this together.

I was very pleased that you included the snorkeling pictures. So many people ask about this and so many times the comments are unfavorable. We have snorkeled in CR several times, and although the water is not perfectly clear, we have always seen beautiful fish. Your pictures should greatly help those that are wondering about the snorkeling.

It is obvious you had a great trip.

4 trips and I still have not gotten enough!

We stayed in room B-12 at Costa Verde, top floor, corner room. The view was so great and the balcony so private I would have slept out there if I'd had a hammock!

We have a new Fuji digital with a 10x zoom, though I had a tough time removing it from around my son's neck. He took most of the wildlife photos. I also used my vintage Canon AE-1 which also has a pretty good zoom lens. The digital was great because you don't have to worry about getting your film past all those airport x-ray machines.

We took the snorkeling pictures with a cheap Kodak underwater camera and I was really pleased with the way that they turned out. A word of caution...don't throw out the giant blue rubber band that comes in the package...it is the wristband to help you keep the camera with you when you jump off the boat. Lucky for me, the camera also floats. LOL. This was our first time snorkeling and it was a blast. It was like swimming in an aquarium.

Terri: Thanks for the mot mot identification. He really was quite beautiful.
