I totally agree – that’s why I am leaning towards VH. That seems close enough to town to let us explore it, try different restaurants, etc. Right? If not, can you recommend something similar closer to town?

Victoria House is about two miles south of town. You can easily walk to town on the beach during the day. At night take a cab.
I love the look of Victoria House. I confess that I'm a sucker for a bit of lawn. Mostly just sand here on Ambergris....and VH has a lawn. I love to walk by when someone is mowing.

Yep, cab fare is five bucks. If you're looking for a taxi, make sure they have a green license plate. They also have golf carts you can rent if you want to, but we never used one. Jean, I never thought about it, but you're right, that lawn is really pretty.
