The Best Guide Book for Costa Rica
I will be getting married in Costa Rica in February 2009. I want to send out the best guidebook (Fodor's or any other publications)available on Costa Rica to my wedding guests. Any suggestions?

I purchased 4 different Costa Rica books, and found that Explore Costa Rica was the best for us. (by Harry Pariser) I was unable to find the book locally, but found a good price at amazon online.
Great descriptions of all the areas, and what you can expect to see for wildlife, driving directions, and lots of detailed descriptions of attractions.
I used Fodors to help choose lodging, but found other parts of the book to be too general.

Congrats on your wedding...
Frommers is one of the better written with good insider info for first time tourist that will be coming down for a wedding with suggested routes good hotels lots of good info geared to mid-upper scale travel.Easily readable.
The Moon Guide is the most comprehensive but small print lots
of cheap hotel detail not easily
readable would not be my choice.
The Insight Guides are the prettiest
with the best pictures and overall
the best presentation.Easily readable but not as much insider info.
I would go with Frommers or Insight pick up cheaply in bulk Amazon.com

Thanks to you all! I am forwarding this post to all my guests, and they can choose. Next February is too far away! You know you're a CR addict when you start looking forward to the freezing cold Canadian winter so you can be that much closer to your departure date!
