Talk to me about Patagonia

Pushing the bf to plan our end of year vacation. Missed out on BA last year because we waited too late. So now thinking of visiting BA and Patagonia.

But if Patagonia... where and why? Just starting to dig but any input appreciated!!

TIA

What's your budget? If luxury, then I highly recommend Hotel Explora in Torres del Paine.

Ooo...just hearing the word Patagonia makes my heart flutter. I adored El Calafate and Ushuaia, although I felt I didn't spend enough time at either place. I wished I got a chance to look around more in Punta Arenas, Chilé, which was very charming, at least the parts I whizzed by.

I don't know if my trip report would be of any use to you, but look up my name on the Latin America forum. I haven't posted much here, so it should be easy to find.

Hey all, thanks much! Once again the bf changed direction (distance and cost of flight being primary drawbacks) and we are going to Ecuador instead.

We'll get to BA one day so thanks for the encouragement and suggestions!
