Talk to me about Patagonia
Pushing the bf to plan our end of year vacation. Missed out on BA last year because we waited too late. So now thinking of visiting BA and Patagonia.
But if Patagonia... where and why? Just starting to dig but any input appreciated!! TIA |
oh wow, lots of great posts here on Argentina trips that include patagonia... let me do some reading and I'll be back with more specific questions.
|
i'm trying to convince the bf to take that exact same trip with me... in february. have you had any luck doing research? i looked up flights, they are pretty pricey from NYC but i have some time to save :)
|
luluk trust me that you won't regret it! the trip is worth the money!
Patagonia and Buenos Aires are just beautiful places to go! Big city and pristine nature... btw where are u planning to go in Patagonia? |
Minooka, I am going to top my trip report of my visit to Bariloche and the area last November for you.
|
What's your budget? If luxury, then I highly recommend Hotel Explora in Torres del Paine.
|
Ooo...just hearing the word Patagonia makes my heart flutter. ((L)) I adored El Calafate and Ushuaia, although I felt I didn't spend enough time at either place. I wished I got a chance to look around more in Punta Arenas, Chilé, which was very charming, at least the parts I whizzed by.
I don't know if my trip report would be of any use to you, but look up my name on the Latin America forum. I haven't posted much here, so it should be easy to find. |
Punta Arenas...charming? Lol. Were you in the same city as me?
|
Hey all, thanks much! Once again the bf changed direction (distance and cost of flight being primary drawbacks) and we are going to Ecuador instead.
We'll get to BA one day so thanks for the encouragement and suggestions! |
I have a trip report with photos up at
http://www.walktheearth.net/patagonia/patagonia.htm It will give a good idea of what to expect. Enjoy! |
