Hmmm. Not really recent, it was probably a year and half ago. Houston to San Jose with connections in El Salvador. No problems either way with all flights on time. I'd fly 'em again.

Flew them RT LAX - San Jose Aug 2001; scene in LA was total chaos for flight leaving around Midnite - 1 giant line for several flights, confusion, people cutting in & out with very little supervision from TACA personnel. We finally got on the plane about 1/2 hr after it was supposed to leave; some people had been on board waiting for hrs! BUT- when it was all said and done, we took off and arrived more/less on time in San Jose. The trip back was uneventful. They are THE major airline in the region, and had the cheapest rates. Once we were on the ground in CR we forgot all about our poor experience!

Flew non-stop Houston to Roatan. No problems. Very nice service on-board, clean, comfortable planes. I've heard the smaller planes can be a real nightmare - lost luggage, etc. Where are you flying?

Sorry about previous posting, I had a "glitch". I was just reading another board and came across this article. I thought you might find it very interesting. http://www.concierge.com/yourview/fo...entralamerica/
