Single Female in Argentina

I am looking for tips/suggestions for a single female traveling to Argentina.

Any recommendations of places to stay and/or things to see and do?

I'm afraid your question is too general, TRDA. Why don't you try doing a little more research on this forum and on http://tinyurl.com/nw9f4 and come back with more specific questions?

Anyway, you'll have a great time in our country.

Type "SharonG" in the search box. She recently traveled to BsAS alone. There are several threads regarding her trip.

Be careful!!!!!!!! We were pick-pocketed on the street in broad day light and lost everything!! The thieves sprayed us with a chemical and offered to wipe the spray off of us. We resisted but they insisted. While doing this they put their hand in my husbands pocket and took all money and credit cards...We had to fly home...No one offered us any assistance...The authorities said this is a common occurence.....Be careful. We wouldn't go back!!!!!!!!!!!

TRDA: the previous post is one of the reasons why I suggested doing a little more research, in this forum and other forums.

What unfortunately happened to jmark is a very old trick and we have repeatedly warned against it, both here and in other forums. Obviously, you should not carry all your money and credit cards in an easily accessible pocket.

Buenos Aires is one of the safest large cities in the world, but this kind of thing does happen, to one in I don't know how many thousands of tourists.

Don't worry, you'll have a great time in BA, as long as you are reasonably careful.

I picked up one of these a few years back for travel situations like that:http://store.prostores.com/servlet/p...--Waist/Detail

A great $10 investment. Remember, a little common sense and awarness go a long way on any vacation.
