just returned from Secrets Maroma what a GREAT vacation we had
Already missing the place would love to go back.
KVR - the swim out rooms are located on the main level of the resort most are away from the beach and have gardens in front of them they are like a small pool in front of all the swimout rooms. We prefer the rooms higher up for the beach and ocean view room I think it is what you prefer as far as it being worth the extra money. We had a partial ocean view room and it was great later we were moved to a full oceanview room. We loved it. The resort was wonderful.

Glad you had a good trip and you enjoyed the resort. Since then, I've also been looking at El Dorado Maroma. I like their swim-out rooms better. One thing I noticed is the price is extremely higher than what I wanted to spend for a 4 or 5 night vacation. So I was also looking at La Tortuga. I like the look of their lazy river pool and swim-out rooms. The offer a full breakfast, but not an AI. They are located 1 block off of 5th Avenue, so wouldn't be too much of an issue. The cost is less than half due to not being an AI. We would have to go sometime in the summer so the pool would be warm enough to enjoy. I will have to think about it.
