San Salvador plus ?

Hello—

Thinking about visiting El Salvador for the first time for a few days tied in with a trip to Guatemala. I’d arrive in San Salvador and I was thinking after seeing a few things in the capital, maybe checking out one other place—Suchitoto seems to jump out at me as it sounds colonial and possibly charming but I wonder if that’s what you’d choose for a maybe 2-3 night stay or is there another spot you’d pick?

Best wishes,

Daniel

There have only been a few threads about El Salvador on this forum in the last year - I think you'll get more responses on the Thorntree Forum.
Happy trails!

Thanks hopefullist

Indeed thorntree seems more active with suggestions on El Salvador. Strange how that is. Thanks for pointing me that way.

Best wishes,

Daniel

At this point in time El Salvador is much more a backpacker/budget type destination and that's not a common description of folks who post here on Fodor's.
