San Salvador plus ?
Hello— Thinking about visiting El Salvador for the first time for a few days tied in with a trip to Guatemala. I’d arrive in San Salvador and I was thinking after seeing a few things in the capital, maybe checking out one other place—Suchitoto seems to jump out at me as it sounds colonial and possibly charming but I wonder if that’s what you’d choose for a maybe 2-3 night stay or is there another spot you’d pick? At this point in time El Salvador is much more a backpacker/budget type destination and that's not a common description of folks who post here on Fodor's. :-)
