Salta hotel

Hi everyone,
I will be in Salta in August. I'm trying to decide between the Almeria and Ayres de Salta. Any opinions as to this choice or other recommendations?

Thanks!

Of them both I would rather prefer Almeria, I think Ayres is more a corporative hotel.
Almeria is nice,

Hi, which is your best choices for hotels in Salta. we are planning to visit Salta next April or May.
I have been before, long ago, in those days I recall the Hotel Salta was one of not too many choices. And it had rooms totally different one from the other. Some with old nice furniture others modern and not so nice, in my opinion.

Thanks Flintstones!

Any suggestions on restaurants or cafes where local residents go with their friends instead of where all the tourists are??

around the main square... fortunatelly nowadays the tourist are mixed witht he locals, as many people think like you tourists try to share the local flavours. Balcarse st, for instance is full of locals and turists everywhere.
Coming back to the hotels...
I like Altos de BAlcarse, on Balcarse St, close to the saltenian nightlife... I like Salta Hotel, anyway for the location. I like Posada del marques, Hotel de Viejo Convento,... not too expensive. I lke Papyrus, a little more expensive... In Cafayate Killa is the top place, no doubt.
