Safe beach water
We are beach people and we are planning a marriott reward vacation. The JW Marriott is very tempting , but I don't want to worry about the kids at the beach all day. Is the undertow really strong? are there a lot of rocks? We are planning to go in april. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Just got back from Casa magna, the sister property to JW right next door. It depends how old your kids are.The ocean in the morning at high tide was a little rough with a really strong undertow but the 12-13 year olds were having a blast riding the waves with boogie boards. Also, there are ropes and barrels enclosing a large swimming area. That helps a lot.I grew up at the Jersey shore and a few times those barrels literally saved my life.I don`t know what the ocean is like in April as on islands I have been to elsewhere, the season plays a big part in the water conditions. The JW has an awesome pool and the hotel is gorgeous.<BR> To sum it up,if my 8 year old daughter had been with me I would not let her past her knees and would have held her hand the whole time, but I know my teenager would have been fine on his own.
