?'s about Tango Mar in tambor

Hi I have a couple of questions about Tango Mar in Tambor, Costa Rica - Are there any places for dinner in the immediate area? Is it possible to drive into Montezuma for dinner - how long a ride? Is the food expensive at the resort for dinner? Thank you!

Bahia Ballena (nearby) used to have a nice little restaurant. .I THINK it is still there. Montezuma several good restaurants, but about a 45 min. drive. . .mas o menos.

And there are a few other restaurants in the area. . .just can't remember the names. .

Have a great time!

I stayed at Tango Mar about 5 years ago. We didn't have a car so leaving the resort wasn't much of an option for us. We thought the food was a tad overpriced and mostly mediocre. Maybe things have changed since then....

Some people staying at the same time as us were on an all-inclusive package, but we had never heard of that option before booking.

The best part of Tango Mar was the long, clean and quiet beach. For days when we didn't feel like staying at the beach, we'd go for long walks on the property and in the forest around it.

There is Cafe Azucar in Cobano (about 15 minute drive), really good food and reasonably priced.
They are located in the blue building behind the bank.
We were staying in Montezumabut thought that the ride was worth it

MonaManuel,
My goodness! Long time, no "see"! Hope all is well with you up north!

Did you know that Neta, Arbel and little one are living north of Toronto? I always remember your great trip report--wasn't it you guys who played bingo in Turrubares with them?

Lots of other memories, too, of your Fodor sleuthing!
