Riviera Bus?

I am going to Playa del Carmen on Saturday and transportation to and from Cancun is so expensive. I heard something about the Riviera Bus, is it still running? If so, where do I find it in the airport?

When you exit the terminal, turn right and keep walking. The Riviera bus parks at the very end of the terminal. We rode it last September, comfortable ride. Cost was about $8.00

Also check with your hotel. Most can arrange reasonable transportation from the airport.

Unless the resort is offering free transportation to town the bus is the cheapest. Storage for luggage underneath and a/c inside. The cost is $8 USD and tickets can be purchased inside the terminal right before you leave or right at the bus itself. It leaves at 45 min past the hour and the ride is about an hour long. I ride it 5 or six times a year and haven't had a problem It leaves you off at the corner of 5th Ave and Juarez. You can then take a taxi to wherever you are going or walk.

Following up on this thread, we are flying Frontier into Cancun. I think we fly into terminal 3, but some of the internet info indicates the Riviera bus is at terminal 2. This thread is a little vague as to which terminal we turn right out of). Can someone elaborate, please. Any new or different info on the ADO (Riviera) bus? Any trouble traveling on Sundays? Thanks! Anyone find any transfers for less than $100 round trip?

It has stops at both terminals. Absolutely the cheapest way to get to PDC and hassle free. You can purchase tickets right at the bus or from any of the reps you'll see wearing ADO shirts once you've exited the terminal.

Normally they run once per hour but I'm not exactly sure of the schedule. If I have to wait I grab a cold one from the vendors also outside.

The bus you want is the ADO bus. It is to the right of the exit doors at terminal 3. Frontier flies in to terminal 3. It will drop you off at the bus station in PDC with one quick stop sometimes on the way down in Puerto Morelos. The bus station is on the corner of 5th Ave and Juarez.

Thanks! I tend to obsess on transportation issues in a new area (and I'm trying to avoid renting a car).
