Restaurants in Tamarindo

We are leaving next week for Costa Rica and will be in Tamarindo for two days- hopefully the rain isn't as bad as it looks on various weather sites - and would love some recommendations on places for lunch/dinner. Also - if anyone has any other advice for the first week of November in the region, I would appreciate it. thanks, STP

Nogui's for breakfast or lunch right on the beach at the circle in Tamarindo. We stayed at Hotel Capitan Suizo (an 8 minute walk on the beach south of Tamarindo) and ate only dinner there. Dragon Fly and there is a sister restaraunt for lunch now. We did like the Lazy Wave too. I hear Stella's is good and fine dining. We just didn't have time to get there. We heard the Taco Shop is excellant. Gils was good for lunch and we enjoyed a dinner at Hotel Pasetiempo before Mike Night on Tues. night. There is one more mentioned a lot on the travel sites just south of Noguis near the beach.

Don't miss lunch at JARDIN DEL EDEN - it has a great view; also...if you head north to Brasalito, find the HAPPY SNAPPER (they moved since last summer) ...the lobster we had for lunch was unbelievable. The DIRIA has great breakfast buffet. If you head south to Negra to watch surfers, definitely stop for lunch at HOTEL PLAYA NEGRA and walk the boardwalk over to beach.
I think Lazy Wave is closed for a bit...check out
www.tamarindobeach.net and hit the bulletin board for up to date info.
