Question re prices and travel company

Hi everyone! My fiance and I are going on our honeymoon to Argentina in Dec/Jan. We've been working with a travel agent in the US that my parents use, and she in turn has been working with a company called Ladatco. We've been very upset with the prices she's come up with from them (and since they are "packages", we can't seem to get anything itemized). So I basically have two questions....
-has anyone heard of Ladatco? and if so, what?
-and does anyone know generally what private cars to/from airports/hotels cost? and the same for private tour guides? just an average.. This way maybe we can figure out how much we are being ripped off and whether to dump the travel agent and start over.

Thanks guys!

There are several BA based travel agents that many here on Fodors.com have used. I copy from a recent other thread here:

Contact Cintia Stella of WOW! Argentina <[email protected]>. She can arrange this for you. You can check out their web site at <http://www.wowargentina.com/>.

I will be traveling to Buenos Aires in May and have been talking with Irene from [email protected]. She has been great not only with helping with my tour but also suggestions on other things to do while in the city.
I highly recommend her.

I can't give a recommendation as I am planning our trip myself.

A private car (Manuel Tienda Leon, which others here have commented is on the expensive end of various choices) from the international airport to city is listed on their website at Argentine pesos 115 or about US$35-40 each way.

I've used Ladatco in Central America. It was good.

I suggest you read the thread titled

Don't Cry for Me Argentina

which I'll send to the top for you.

Thanks...I'm not quite ready to start with a new travel agent, as I have a relationship with mine, etc, etc, just trying to do some independent research to know what I should be paying for things. But if I do start over I certainly know who to go to thanks to all the good recs I've seen on this forum!

A couple weeks ago, Home Hotel arranged a private car to pick us up at EZE when we arrived in B.A. The charge was 100 pesos. On the return, we had a radio taxi called, and it was a set price of 63 pesos.
