Question about Iguazu stay

We plan to spend two nights at Iguazu falls. Can someone comment on our plan:

(1) Day one - arrive at IGU airport around 3:30 PM. Rent a car and drive directly to Argentine side. Check into hotel.

(2) Day two - Tour Argentine side. And late afternoon move to Brazil side. Tour some places if possible.

(3) Day three - morning finish touring Brazil side. Noon time go back to airport for flying home via Sao Paulo.

Is half day enough for Brazil side? If I visit the Brazil park in two days, do I have to buy entry tickets twice?

Thanks!

why would rent a car, as taxis, pick up services r availkable at the airport. u do not need a car on the argentine side.

I think u r cutting this too short . we spent 2 full days on the argentine side and there was more to see is we had time

cheers

Renting a car is not a good idea. Why, first of all there are tones of options, including remises that is cars with a chofer that know their way around can also take you to Brazil and are very inexpensive. MMMost of the more exciting sites are done simply walking

AndrewDavid, Graziella5b,

Thanks for your replies. I was thinking a car will save us time. Language will be a big problem for us and I'd better drive myself.

Does anyone know whether I need to buy ticket twice for Brazil side park if I visit it on two consecutive days?

Thanks.

Generally when I don't speak the language, renting a car--rather than using taxis or drivers--makes my life harder rather than easier. But everyone's different...

Are there lot of hills in Iguazu area? I want to rent a car but only manual ones are available. I have not driven any manual car for 10 years. Though I still could manage it but I am afraid to stop at a uphill cross.

I want to rent a car because we only have half day at Brazilian side and I don't want to waste time going back forth waterfall, hotel and airport. With a car, I can store luggage in the trunk and park it at the park entry.

Thanks for information.

Before you rent a car you might want to verify that you will be able to take your car across the border. I do not know about Argentina-Brazil, but generally you cannot take rental care from Argentina to Chile.

I absolutely agree with the good doctor: Normally, "rental care" cannot be transported.

Just kidding. LOL!!!!
