Question about Costa Rica

Hello,

My husband and I are planning a trip to Costa Rica for August ('09) and as we have never been there before, would love some helpful advice. We found a travel agent through the website CentralAmerica.com - they seem to have pretty good prices and include a trip to Arenal and Manuel Antonio National Park. Has anyone ever used this site before, or know anything about the company? Any advice would be geatly appreciated.

Thanks!

We've always just booked everything ourselves using this board as our guide. It's pretty easy to arrange everything yourself. If you need any help, just ask away.

If you're going to use an agent, I highly recommend Pat Hewitt. You can find him by doing a name search on this thread. While we new where we wanted to go (Arenal & Manuel Antonio) Pat was extremely knowledgeable and helped us pick the right hotels. He also arranged our driver for us. Though a bit more expensive than renting, not by much, I highly recommend a driver if it fits in your budget. FYI- Manuel Antonio park is worth visiting but do not mistake it for a US National Park (it's small). Enjoy!

There is a very flexible "build your own vacation" section on LatinDestinations' website. Might help you with price shopping once you have your trip planned out. They are known for being pretty reasonable and we have had good luck with them.
