Puerto Vallarta Hotels suggestions-again

Anyone know about the Villa Varadero? How long a walk to the Playa Los Muertos? Like to find a place in the old city but fear availability is slim for a suite or two rooms (need 3 beds for my husband and I, our son and daughter) Christmas week.

Villa Varadero is WAY out in Nuevo Vallarta (the district with Cancun style developments to the north of town). It would be 1 hour DRIVE to get to Old Town and Playa Los Muertos.

What kind of places have you tried along Los Muertos that you have the idea there isn't availabiltiy? A suite might be harder to come by, but two rooms should be OK.

Where are you getting the hotels you have posted about (if you don't mind me asking)? Are you calling them directly yourself?

Have you tried...
Hotel Eloisa
Playa Los Arcos/Suites Los Arcos
Tropicana
Suites Emperador

Or Rosita or El Pescadora (not on Los Muertos but at least in El Centro).

I'll get you some websites for these if you would like.

Hotel Tropicana is my favorite in the Old Town area. Nice beach, pool, not too big of a hotel. I have pictures that I can share of Tropicana and a few other hotels in the area if you're interested. Just email me at [email protected]

Another poster just mentioned Torre de Oro, same neighborhood, another possibility.

Thanks to one and all. I've been unable to reach the sites (except for the Tropicana) but will keep trying. I'll pursue the Tropicana and keep trying to look for other choices. Still interested in choices--haven't been able to focus on this but plan to in the next few days.

Not sure the problem, I double-checked just now and all websites are correct.
www.vallartaspecials.com is especially helpful because there are 10 hotels or so on that website.
www.playalosarcos.com is also correct and there are 3 different properties under the same ownership shown there.

Thanks. I did get to the sites--needed to input directly and not cut and paste. Like the looks of some so will pursue. Availability seems to be the biggest problem---we'e a bit late in our planning--but I'll keep trying!

Buena suerte (good luck)!

If none of these in Old Town work out for you, I'm guessing the larger hotels out in the Hotel Zone and The Marina might have availability, simply because they are much larger properties.
