Prices in Buenos Aires cafes

I am in Buenos Aires right now. Yesterday I had breakfast in a pleasant cafe in calle Cordoba and
Carlos Pelegrini, called La Madeleine, although I have been here for a while I wish to let everybody know that a small fresh orange juice, three croissants and a cafe con leche, served by a nice waiter wearing a Parisian looking long apron is
1.20 dollars.!!!!!!!!!!!! hard to believe but true....
<there are many similar cafes all over, this one I thought was very nice and the service very good.

There are cafes such as this all over town....up and down Santa Fe, Cordoba,
Corrientes, and especially on the ped. walkway Florida and Lavalle....ValleRio on Lavalle is one of my favorites....fruit drinks (liquadas) to die for!

As an aside, it is good that you did not wander into the cafe on the other side of the street from LaMadeleine....Cafe Excedra is a place for prostitutas to ply their trade....but it looks just like any other cafe...kind of an anomoly....

THANK you drdawggy I ll make a note about that. It is true that there are tons of cafes all over Bs As.
I happen to be there because I had to meet with a friend staying at the Sheraton on Cordoba street.
Maletas, you ll find no problem finding good rest and cafes and you will be amazed most of the time with the bill.
Buena suerte.
