From Flamingo it is 4 hrs to Monteverde. From Tamarindo it is about 5 1/2-6. <BR> If you can go by the new bridge (providing it will be open) it will be much faster but plan on at least 3 1/2 hrs from the bridge if you go up from hwy 1. If you go around to Tilaran and then up it could be another hour at least. Don't know exactly how long to get from Samara to the different options but what I gave you might give you a small idea of part of it.<BR>You could contact Jacques at monteverdeinfo.com. He runs a shuttle service as well as other things and might be able to give you more exact timing.
