Playa DelCarmen

Can anyone suggest a reasonable hotel in Playa Del Carmen for late January for 2 weeks? When I say reasonable, I am thinking between $100.00 & 150.00 per night. Less expensive would be great if you have suggestions. I am not looking for anything fancy, but it needs to be clean and safe. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There are TONS of places. Try these lists and see what catches your eye...then we can narrow it down...

Look at the hotels on the sidebar:

Also do you want to be on the beach or something in town? Do you need a pool?

Within walking distance of the beach, say a few blocks would be ok. A pool would be good also.

Luna Blue is a great, VERY resonable hotel - but it does not have a pool. Check out www.playa.info they have several hotels listed that meet your requirements.

Just came back from a week at La Tortuga --- I don't know what the price is for that time of year but I can't say enough about the place. I loved every single minute of my 6 days there. Check out the reviews on TripAdvisor.

Last time we were there, we stayed at Fiesta Banana, a small, Italian run hotel in the north end of town, about 2 blocks to the beach. No pool, but with your pass at the beach club (about $2.00) you can use the beachside pool. The hotel was about $80.00 a night. One drawback, there is a fairly noisy bar just next door.
We've also stayed at the Treetops, which is more centrally located, about 500' from the beach. Nice clean, spacious rooms, about $100 a night. Treetops has a tiny, shaded pool in it's courtyard.
Trust me, with Playa's beautiful beaches, you won't even think about a pool!

there's also the Playa-Maya.com. My son stayed at Luna Blue which has great rates and he liked it, but it is definitely Not fancy!
