Pisco Sours: Safe?

I have to be honest. Your concern has never occurred to me, and I've had my share of pisco sours in Peru, never with any problems. Um, I don't know what to say. I can only guess, like yestravel said above, that a good restaurant or bar makes its ice with purified water. Who knows, though?

When I read the title of this post I thought you were going to ask about the use of raw egg whites one of the constituent parts of the Pisco sour. This is not recommended by some doctors as there could be problem for some e.g. pregnant women/the elderly etc..

but you can hope the alcohol kills all the bacteria
that might be in drink...choose vendors widely
