Ooops- Tamarindo Hotels - 3 Selections
Ooops lets try this again, refer to the below hotel selections.
I would like some advice on finalizing our Hotel accommodations in Tamarindo.
Myself and three other guys are looking for a nice comfortable place, cost isn?t an issue, nice poor, bar, food, spa, etc.
I believe we have narrowed it down to the following three hotels.
Has anyone experienced these hotels or have any other recommendations?
1- Hotel Diria
1- Hotel El Jardin
1- Barcelo Playa Langosta
Thanks,
Ed

I have stayed at two of these. The Diria and El Jardin are both very nice and moderate. The Diria is right on the beach. Playa Langosta is very near Tamarindo and Barcelo properties are fine--typical all inclusives. If money is not an object, you might want to look in a couple of luxury places. . .Cala Luna and Capitan Suizo. . I've heard excellent reviews on both! The three you have mentioned, however, would all be good choices. As far as location goes, the Diria is right in the middle of Tamarindo and on the beach and I think that would appeal to a lot of people who want to be a part of the Tamarindo night scene. . .don't know about you!

You guys have fun and behave! If you are there on Saturday night, there used to be a huge beach party called "Bazaar" (or maybe it was "bizarre"
sponsored, I think, by the Mambo Bar. I'm talking 500 people! Quite the event. . .

I went to Costa Rica last May and we stayed at the Capitan Suizo which had great accomodations, a small bar/restaurant, and was right on the beach. The staff was friendly and our room was huge and comfortable. It's a little further north from the action, but only a 5-8 minute walk by beach or road to the more happening section of town. Because of it's location, the beach is much more private and they also offer plenty of activities and tours. http://www.hotelcapitansuizo.com/indexhtml.html
