If you are looking for a tourist company, I would recommend Vallarta- Adventures. We took a boat cruise to Caletas, only accessible by boat. Day trip- includes lunch buffet, snorkelling, kayaking, relax on the beach, hiking trails. The crew is fun, but it is not a wild party boat. They offer alcohol and non- alcohol drinks on the way back. Continental breakfast on the way there. Families, couples etc. They offer all kinds of tours. <BR>Have fun!

Hello everyone! I posted this tour question and just got back from the best family vacation possible! We all loved it! Although you don't hear this much on this site we personally Loved the AI at the Qualton where we stayed! The food and activities were great and so easy and convienent for us and the kids. Plus the people we met and people that worked there were awesome, It was my first and definitly not my last All Inclusive! Having said that we also ventured out and enjoyed several meals on the town for both lunch and dinners. My husband and I went to El Panarama and had a long relazing fantastic dinner and a great time for our anniversary. We also did the Rythms of the Night dinner cruise over to Yelapa which was awesome. With the Kids we ventured out one day with the nicest coolest cab driver (has been driving a taxi in PV for 40 years!) and went on a tour around the jungle and up to El Eden to hang out and play for awhile. It was beautiful and I loved jumping off the rope into the water! We also took a day trip to Punta Mita which again was awesome. Another day we brought the kids to the Kyrstal to use there amazing pools and I got an awesome 75 minute massage in a hut on the beach for $30. We also went into downtown, the southside of town, and to the Malecon several times including Sunday night to mingle with the Natives. The rest of the time spent at the Qualton we loved because I got a kick out of all the activies we could do out by the pool (water aerobics, Marenga dance, cooking lessons, beach volleyball etc.) my 5 year old daughter loved it too! Drinks out in the pool and a good step, Taebo or Pilates class in their gym (great instructors!) to sweat it all out the next morning!It was perfect for all of us really and we can not wait to go back! The value was amazing and we had the perfect combination of adventure, fun and relazation! Can you tell that 4 days after being back home I am still on a high from my trip! I live in San Diego which is a beautiful perfect type weather-tons to do type place on its own so I think that says alot! I go to Vallarta every year to do a week long training for U.S. psychotherapists so get lots of feedback about things to do/eat.
I greatly prefer Chico's Paradise to El Eden. Both are on lovely streams where you can swim in carefully chosen pools, but Chico's is much cleaner with good but expensive food. El Eden has an additional plus if your child (or husband!) has seen the movie Predator, which was filmed there; the helicopter is still stuck in the jungle. But..if anyone is sensitive to the plight of animals, be aware that El Eden has a small zoo with ill kept tiny cages and unhappy critters.
