One last detail for our itinerary...is there anything better than Hotel Sugar Beach in that area?

Me again...October Honeymoon...here is our itinerary...

10/16 - arrive San Jose at 8pm...private transfer to Costa Rica Tree House - Beach Suite (Southern Carribean)
10/17 - Tree House
10/18 - Tree House
10/19 - Tree House
10/20 - Tree House
10/21 - leave Tree House for Peace Lodge (Central Valley)
10/22 - Peace Lodge
10/23 - Peace Lodge
10/24 - leave Peace Lodge for Sugar Beach? (Northern Guanacaste)
10/25 - Sugar Beach?
10/26 - Sugar Beach?
10/27 - Sugar Beach?
10/28 - leave Sugar Beach...depart Liberia at 1pm

One final question...I am intrigued by Hotel Sugar Beach. It gets pretty good reviews but the pictures of it don't look great! Is it better in person...do pictures just not do it justice? How are the rooms and the beach there...room recommendations? We're not set on this yet.

Does anyone have any other great beachfront suggestions in the northern Guanacaste region?

Otherwise...how does the itinerary look? Thanks to everyone...couldn't have done it without you!

Take a look at Bahia Pez Vela in Playa Ocotal. Or if you want a great place with an ocean view, but not oceanfront, check out Villa Vista Mar.

Well...I was waiting for an email back from Hotel Sugar Beach regarding availability...and they will be closed in October!

Still looking for an alternative!

Is Manuel Antonio worth considering in October or will it be too rainy?

Mishi, try sending an e-mail to [email protected]

She lives in MA and will be able to advise you. She might post here if she is "fodoring" today!

Thanks Shillmac! I sent her an email...and posted this as a new topic. I'm not having much luck with this honeymoon planning. I'm going to have to go on vacation just to recuperate from planning this vacation!

Aw come on. . it's part of the fun!

I'm working on the same thing for July. It takes a while to fine tune it, but eventually it begins to come together in a way that seems just perfect! It will for you, too.

don't know about the weather in Oct but we loved MA in Leb. Stayed in Coste Verde and loved it. The public beach was not crowded compared to what we are usd to in the US and the National Park has lagoons to swim in. We loved that. Lots of monkeys and iguanas. Also enjoyed local music at the Cantina just across the road from Costa Verde. If you go have a great trip and ;et us all hear about it upon your return.
