New format of forums

Is it just me or is there a lot less information being postednow that the forum has changed to this new format?

No, it's not just you. I've noticed it too. These forums are a lot less interesting in this new format. Seeing the same 'headlines' posted day after day is a bit tedious.

Nope, you are correct. You notice it even more on this particular forum, because at the same time they also separated South America from Mexico & Central America, into 2 different forums... so even LESS than less shows up in each one.

I don't like the new format, though I like having S. America separate and I like the country tags and the travelogue icon. I don't check or post as often because it's not as user friendly as it used to be.

I agree, seems like there are a lot fewer posts. I thought it was my imagination. Glad I am not as loco as I thought!

The ruckus has quieted down by now, but there were LOADS of posts about this topic & the change over in the "Lounge" forum back when it first happened. Basically most people didn't care for it & find it less user-friendly than before, but the editors came on and explained why they had to do it.

I think another reason is that you now see 25 posts instead of 50, and people don't scroll past that.

I thought it might be that fewer people are traveling now.

There's no reason to scroll beyond the 25 posts if there's nothing new.

Now that S. America is separate from Mexico & Central America, I rarely check out that board.

I notice more spam/advertising posts since the change.

I like the reply feature better now. I like everything else about the old format. This new style not not appeal to me.
