Tee-hee...you read my mind! Just seconds ago posted my countdown of 9 days! I'm starting to feel really anxious and excited at this point. Taking quick trip to Eugene this weekend for Mother's Day, so next week will be all about last minute details for work, home, and trip!
BTW -- I finally got an e-mail from Abel so it's a go!

Oh good. I'm so glad you've been "abel" to touch base with him! Sorry. . couldn't resist. .
So, the 19th? . .be here before you know it! The days always go faster toward the end because we're all so busy tying up those loose ends!

Regarding Hepatitis B--one could even get that from unclean manicure/pedicure utensils. It's a good thing to have--doesn't imply that one plans to get too friendly with the "locals". . .

Thank you, I guess I just misread the CDC pamphlet.

I would suggest that anyone who goes for a manicure/pedicure be sure the equipment is clean so you don't have to worry about coming in contact with other peoples body fluids. I would also think about a different place if you think you are.

As teachers who sometimes double as health workers in emergency situations, we are required to have Hep B. Blood being the "body fluid" of most concern. Of course, we must all realize that these are all low risk possibilities. However, due to the seriousness of the disease (as in AIDS), immunizations are advisable.

How do you know you are okay? These are not diseases that present themselves immediately. And just because you are okay, doesn't mean it's not prudent to get Hep A & B. Especially A, which can be transmitted through food.

LOL, Hill27, totally can identify with that! It's amazing what the black and white of letters and words can do without the voice to soften it up a bit--or not!
It's okay--you're allowed--we're like family!
