I had back surgery one month ago and planning trip to C.R. mid June. I am very interested in doing Cano Negro Tour. I will be staying at Tabacon Hot Springs.
Is the drive from this hotel to the tour very long and bumpy?

I don't recall it being bumpy. It's been several months since we did Cano Negro, but we rode there in a posh air-conditioned shuttle, and we were very comfortable. I believe all the roads were paved. The shuttle stops in one of the towns so you can view these great iguanas that cover the trees outside this one store. It's a good chance to stretch your legs and get a cold drink. The boat ride itself was very smooth and comfortable also; we were really impressed by everything on the tour. I wouldn't think you would have any problems.

Great question!! hard answer!!...is very hard for any body to give you advice when you have a back ..surgery!! The only ones who can really answer that question is...1- Your Dr. 2- You. and 3- The tour operator!!
Some times those tours have to be reroute for some crazy reason...if that happend the driver/operator has to be well inform of your back ...

Yes, there's really no need to book ahead. We just booked the tour one day in advance through out hotel. Just see how you feel when you get there because really only you can make that call. Enjoy your trip!
