Mexico Vacation for singles?
Best destination to go in Mexico for a group of 6 girls late Dec - early Jan. with a combination of relaxation but also good nightlife. We are in our early 30s, single. Not interested in Cancun.

I replied to your question on the caribbean forum. If you're not interested in Cancun (does that also mean Cozumel?). Anyway, how about Acapulco? The weather should be almost guaranteed hot and sunny. People seem to either love or hate the place. I went down with some single girlfriends a few years back when we were in our early 30's and had a blast. Consider checking out the Hyatt.

Like I stated in my other post, I've traveled a lot both solo and with friends to these destinations and unless your 20 in Cancun during spring break, I find all of these places seem to have a lot of couples and families. That's just the way it is. But we did manage to meet single men in their 30's (they were actually from our own hometown if you can believe that!) and just hung out with them all week and had a ball. Acapulco is big city so you won't feel the couples/family thing as much as you would in more quiet destinations. I did mention Cozumel because the diving is so great there, I thought there might be some guys on diving trips with their buddies. I've never been to Cabo so can't comment. But that's another place that has very mixed reviews.

I really enjoy Ixtapa. The place is beautiful and not as big as Cancun or Acapulco. The night life is good and the weather in Dec/Jan is perfect. You also have the town of Zihuatanejo next to Ixtapa which is a traditional fishing town. There are several resorts to choose from. My favorite is the Camino Real. Have fun.
