Two year anniversary trip for 30 yr old couple.

Found great deal for Hilton Cancun and Grand Xcaret (all inclusive for Grand Xcaret)

Looking for advice about the areas they are both in.

Want clean well kept hotels, romantic with beautiful grounds and amazing beaches...

I'm not a fan of all inclusives. For me, I'd choose the Hilton. It's a well kept and beautiful hotel.

What I like best about inclusives is the fact that I can guarantee a adult only or couple only experience. I really hate vacationing with kids running around everywhere so for me, I would opt for adult only, period.

Head to the Royal Playa del Carmen or Royal Hideaway. You can get great deals on Bookit or skyauction. Beautiful Adult AIs

Keep in mind that some of the smaller "boutique" hotels have no kids policies also. I am going to La Tortuga in Playa del Carmen and you must be either older than 16 or 18 to stay. So that's something to think about.

you asked about the areas too.....If I'm headed to Cancun, I might as well go to south florida. There is every chain restaurant and store that you find here. It's tourist commercial central. That's why I love Playa....it has a few places that are familiar, but still has culture. We went to a salsa club and we were a few of the 10 americans there....it was a blast. I don't know that there is much to do outside Grand Xcaret? Maybe someone else can give you insight.

I don't agree. Downtown Cancun is real Mexico, and like any big city, Cancun has a lot to offer. I think many people just visit the party zone and that's what they think of Cancun.
I like Playa, too. I think they're both great.
