I just went to Maroma for my honeymoon and I had a great time. I recommend everyone interested in learning more about the hotel to go to tripadvisor and there are a lot of reviews and pics there.

As for beach service, it is impeccable. And about 50% of the time I stayed on the beach I received complimentary trays that include cold scented towels, fruit skewers and fruit juices. And salsa and corn chips are complimentary too.

Wow! I'd love to know how you managed this!
We were never offered anything that we didn't pay for, water included, on the beach or elsewhere. Breakfast was included in the price of the room (again, no water).
There seems to be a great deal of inconsistency with regard to the hotel, which you'll see if you go to Tripadvisor.

One thing I notice is if you stay in the south side of the beach (i.e. the side near the Marina and AI resort), the service seems to be a lot more inconsistent. I seldom see the beach guys went over to that side of the beach. I stay near the north side of the beach (where the majority of the beds, beach bar and restaurant are located) and the service is perfect.

Welch, just wondering where will you recommend if I wanna go to Bahamas for a vacation?

Without any first hand experience lately I hesitate to make a suggestion.
I love Harbour Island I understand both The Rock House and The Landing are great.
I stayed at The Rock House many years ago when it was in another incarnation and loved it but I can't personally vouch for either of these now.
Just remember the Bahamas are in the Atlantic so the water can get cool in the winter.
Hope this is a little help.
