We were in Manzanillo for a day this spring and were not impressed--it's an extremely industrial port and the town lacks character or charm. There are good beaches once you get away from the port, though. Someone who spent more time there may have discovered attractions we missed.

Manzanillo is a great place.

I stayed at the Las Hadas which is next to Karmina Place.

I took four tours and they were all terrific.

The trip to Colima and Comala was very nice.
Also the trip to Barra de Navidad was really nice as this is a lovely Mexican town about 30 miles away.

Where you stay would have a lots to say about how you will like Manzanillo.
I am assuming you will be at one of the Resorts at Manzanillo Bay.

I really enjoyed Manzanillo.

The weather was great and the tours were great also.
I also did some of the tours that jmvp mentioned and she is correct about the places.
You are in the province of Colima so one of the city places is Colima.

It is like saying New York City ,New York.
At Comala if you are lucky youcan see the Volcan erupt a little.

There is very lovely Church in Barra De Navidad, walk into this church, the doors are always wide open and it is right inthe middle of town.

There is a figure of Christ hanging on the Cross with both arms broked.
This is a result of Hurricane Lily that struck the town on September 1/1971.

This is a nice visit to see and read about this .

Take care and have fun
