Manuel Antonio/Hotels

I would like recommendations on hotels for family with children 6 & 8. (in Dec)

I've looked over El Mirador Del Pacifico, Hotel Playa Espadilla, Karache Hotel.

Anyone see any of the above hotels, any sugestions? Appreciate any help!

Sandie,
Do you mean Karahe Hotel? That looked somewhat dumpy, also it is in Quepos which is not quite as nice as Manuel Antonio up the hill. I am not sure about Hotel Playa Espadilla, but el Mirador del Pacifico did not look that appealing from the outside ( the rooms may be nice, though). We stayed at SiComoNo, and our kids loved it ( so did we!) It has great views and is beautiful. I also liked the El Parador and Villad Mymosas (spelling?) They looked nice from the outside anyhow. Good luck

I don't know about the other hotels, but another great hotel to look into is La Mariposa...it has stunning views and large villas overlooking the pacific for a reasonable price.

Just a thought.

Si Como No is great for kids and our daughter loved it. It is however on the expensive side. If you are looking for something less expensive, Villas Nicholas next door to Si Como No would probably be a good spot too. Haven't stayed there but heard very good comments about them.

Iza is right. SiComoNo was a bit expensive, but we were able take advantage of the green season special. Hotel Villas Nicholas is right next door to SoComoNo and shares its spectacular views. I heard it is more reasonable, too. Don't know about their pool, though. Good luck!!
P.S. We met some people while out for dinner at Barba Roja ( great dinner, right in Manuel Antonio), who stayed at La Mariposa. They really loved it, but thought the public areas were not particularly kid-friendly. Just a thought.
