Manta for buying Panama Hats/

Im arriving by cruise ship for the day in Manta. Anyplace to buy Panama hats there?

Take a cab or excurision to Montecristi. Go to the plaza in the middle of town. You will find many shops selling many things of straw encluding Panama hats. There is also an interesting church facing the plaza.
