Luxury Resort for October

We are thinking about traveling to Brazil for our honeymoon at the beginning of next October. We would love to find a nice, quiet, luxury hotel to stay in for a few days (preferably on the beach). Can anyone recommend one?

Check into the Rio Sheraton, which is one of the few Rio hotels directly on the beach. Some people don't like this hotel because it is a cab ride from Ipanema and Copacabana, where the action is. But taxis aren't that expensive, and what you get is a resort atmosphere near an amazingly beautiful and exotic city without being directly in the middle of the hustle and bustle. As long as it's your honeymoon, I'd recommend a room in the first four floors; these rooms are much nicer than the run-of-the-house rooms; they have roomy balconies with gorgeous views (Have room service on your balcony one night; can't beat the view). It's not a small hotel, so you won't get absolute quiet. However, we love the pool area overlooking the ocean with plenty of shade for those who want it.

The Praia do Forte Ecoresort in Bahia, 80 Km from Salvador, is wonderful. Have a nice honeymoon, Brazil is gorgeous.

I feel the best place for a honeymoon is Buzios, try the Collona Park hotel on Joa Fernandez beach. I just spent a couple of days there and its great. Take a look at www.blameitonrio4travel.com, Bobby made all the arrangements for me and the staff at the hotel was great, they let me check out at 5 PM without any extra charge. Also check out www.buziosonline.com. The town is great too, safe, great restaurants and bars, perfect for a honemoon.
