What is los cabos like? Is it a safe and clean or is it only this way inside the resorts? I am thinking of going here but do not want to feel bound to only the resort.

Cabos is great. I have a timeshare which is shared between Cancuun, PV, and Los Cabos. I really liked the town, restaurants, night life. We went the end of January when all the whales migrate south -- it was great to be at the resort pool watching whales swim by! Even though I was just there last year I am thinking of going back next year instead of either of the other resorts!

The realty is that tourism is down and they have raised prices to compensate.
