lima airport hotel- safe?

we arrive 10:00pm,flight out next day 11:00am. booked at the "manhattan inn hotel" at the airport. reading many "don't stay near the airport" reports. need some help here. manhattan ok for 1 night or where is closest "safe" area?

you should try to do a search here with the name of the hotel. I believe sometime ago someone asked the same question.

bodhijack, did you ever stay at the Manhattan Inn? Thinking of doing the same. If not, have you heard anything? A search produced no results. Web site looks OK.

read the reviews at tripadvisor.com

From what I understand its okay as long as you don't walk around the neighborhood.

Note make sure you have prearranged transport prior to your arrival. The arrival hall immediately past customs is a zoo and kinda scary. There are hundreds of cab drivers trying to get your business. If you have it prearranged someone will hold up a sign with your name on it and guide you through and fend off any harassing cab drivers.
