Las Ventanas in Cabo or Anguilla???

Hi All-
Planning my honeymoon for July of 2011.
Heard such amazing things about Anguilla, as well as Cabo.
If anyone has been to both, can you PLEASE give me some insight, as I am having a hard time trying to decide on which destination!
Thanks

I've only been to Cabo, and out of all the places I've been in Mexico, it is my least favorite, though I would still be happy to go back, because I love Mexico, and it is fairly convenient for me to get there from the Los Angeles area.

However, if you are interested in beaches, most in Cabo are unswimmable, surf is too rough, and the town of Cabo San Lucas is very touristy, a little trashy, imho. San Jose del Cabo is nicer, though, Than CSL and Las Ventanas is a beautiful hotel.

Playa del Carmen is a much more enjoyable town, and the water on the eastern side of Mexico is gorgeous and swimmable.

The beaches in Anguilla look incredible, never been, but I'd pick that location hands down for a honeymoon.

Look at her name. Looks like the op has decided to go to Turks and Caicos!

i have been to cabo twice, once at ventanos which is exquisite!! and also at marquis, great but not in same league as ventanos.

i am also interested in a feb vaca in anguilla with another couple and am interested to see what people reply to you about anguilla.

i have been looking at riviera maya area of mexico as well at a place called the tides, but not sure if humidity levels in february are ok. does anyone know how humid it gets there in feb?

I would think February would be an ideal time to visit the Riviera Maya, weather wise. The Tides looks great, if you can afford that, check out Escensia and Maroma and The Banyan Tree as well. Love that area, sigh. Hope to get back someday...

If you're interested in the above hotels, my favorite is Esencia. It's the smallest and most exclusive. It's also on the best beach IMHO.
I don't care for February, myself, as the ocean is too cool for me then and the northern storms can come in.
I think you do better in November or May- July, generally speaking.

it is not particularly humid in Mexican coastal tourist resort destinations in the winter months (it is in the summer/fall and also rainy season)
