La Lancha

Hi all:
Has anyone stayed at La Lancha near Tikal or heard anything about it? Any feedback would be most appreciated. Thanks.

I stayed at Blancaneaux last month. I remember them saying (it's owned by the same people) that there weren't many guests there. But it looked like a really beautiful place. Please post a report if you stay there.

I would imagine that any excursions would be quite pricey which is how it was at Blancaneaux, but they did a good job, so it felt like the money was well spent.

I've been and think its lovely. Situated overlooking the huge lagoon in a reserve. I've booked clients there who have all been more than pleased. Not as pricey as BL. Seibal ruins are also a great day trip from here.

Hi annmcd...If La Lancha is anything like Blancaneaux, it will be fantastic.

I don't want to highjack your thread, but am wondering if anyone knows how close La Lancha is to the actual park?

35 min drive, now that the speed limit was reduced after a vehicle hit and killed a jaguar.
