wow, what a trip !
Wow, I'm impressed. We have only 8 days in April for our trip but I can't decide how to spend them. If you had had to cut your trip down to 2 stops and wanted to see lots of wildlife, perhaps the volcano, yet have a few days on a lovely beach, which of your stops would you recommend?

Pegsimba, Your trip report was wonderful. We went to CR in November on a tour and want to go back ourselves at the end of April. On our tour we saw relatively little wildlife, and nothing up close. At Bosque de Cabo can you really see the birds and monkeys that well? What about (ugh) snakes? Can you comment on the lack of air conditioning? We were thinking of the Parrot Bay Village and take tours from there, but Bosque de Cabo sounds wonderful.

Pegsimba.... Thanks for the report...we are traveling the first week in April for 12 days with almost the identical itinerary. After Arenal for 3 nights, we have rented a house on the beach in Dominical and then flying to BDC for 3 nights. Now I wish I was staying at least 4!! We have reserved Pizote & Toucan and I'm glad to hear about the electricity, although I wouldn't have minded candles. Do you have any pictures from your cabina? Any recommendations for restaurants in the Dominical area? Thanks..Lori

Great Report. We are heading down in early February and i wondered if you could give a little more color on the driving conditions. We are driving from Tabacon down to Quepos and i was wondering how the roads/directions/traffic are on that stretch. Also, we have some time to kill coming back to SJ from Quepos and i was thinking of getting an early start and heading south to Domincal and swinging east and then back up the pan am highway. Any thoughts. Thanks, I'll post when we get back!

Fantastic report! Lots of detail! Makes me want to change our current plans to include Osa Penninsula!
I have one question, when you said "Later in the day we road south of Quepos to Dominical on a terrible, rough, unpaved road" - do you mind me asking how long it took to drive that road from Quepos to Domincal?
Thanks for the great report!
