your responses have been very helpful. I'm visiting esperanza in april. I will be golfing once or twice and maybe visiting palmilla and ventanas, perhaps a restaurant in town too. Seems like renting a car makes sense vs the $115 cost each way for the hotel service. I hear the taxi rates are brutal. Do you agree? Does the hotel charge a overnight parking fee? Did you travel to any of the nearby swimmable snorkling beaches? Is the water at the resort drinkable? Thanks.

Renting a car is well worth it just to get around. Esperanza doesn't charge a fee to keep your car there. You will have an incredible time staying here. It is relaxing and casual yet very upscale. Service is incredible. They make it extremely easy to be on vacation with not a worry. Have fun!

Trying to decide between Esperanza & Casa del Mar. Casa del Mar sounds similar & has golf. I'm wondering if Esperanza is worth the extra money. Beautiful pools is a must & great service & nice rooms. It also sounds like Casa del Mar might have more reasonable prices for food & drinks. We love Four Seasons type luxury. Please help me decide!

Hey Joe55,
You will be extremely pleased with your stay at the One & Only Palmilla. There are two beaches at the resort both you can walk for miles. One beach is safe for swimming. The rooms at the resort are beautiful!!! I have stayed at the Esperanza which are also awesome but I prefer the One & Only. The service is outstanding, you will feel like royalty. There will be no need to leave your resort unless you want to have dinner at Las Ventans or Esperanza. Cabo itself is a desert so I would stay put and be pampered at the One & Only.
