Itinery check with expert Costa rican traveller!! =)

Thank you for your kind advices. after reading all of you advising not to stay too long in one place..i will try to change my itinery to..

6 nights at La Paloma( can't think of other place to stay, flight coming back on 14th day =)...)

3 nights at Villa Caletas..driving from SJO with 4x4 SUV (3 hours?)...

3 nights at Tabacon resort..Driving same car from Jaco (5 hours?)..

2 nights at Peace Lodge..Driving from Arenal (2 hours?)..

Do you all think this is better itinery (than my original of 7 nights at La Paloma, 5 nights at Villa Caletas, 2 nights at Tabacon Resort) ? I have not changed my itinery yet..and not sure if they are going to let me change reservation..but this one seems more balanced...

Thank you again for yout advices..I welcome any input to make this trip more comfortable!!

I think that sounds much better! There is much more to see & do around Arenal compared to Caletas, I think you'll be happy you added it in.

Yes! This will give you a more rounded trip. I don't think you will be disappointed with the change!
Sounds like a fantastic trip - enough time for lots of activity and relaxing.

Great, Thank you guys~~

Just couple of small questions for anyone who stayed at peace lodge and villa caletas..

How's canopy tour from villa caletas? where are they going? is it safe/nice tour?

What is best secure method of paying peace lodge? think i can send either email with all my credit card information on it(not sure if email is secure...) or i can fax it...

I received confirmation email from Tabacon resort and it showed all my credit card information on it...is that common?

Thank you again for all help guys~~
I am sure i will have a blast~

You are very very welcome!

As for faxing vs. email - personally I prefer fax.

As for canopy tours - saw your other post where someone did the Caleta tour, but you probably know that Arenal has a couple of top notch ziplines. No personal experience - the thought terrifies me!!

But while in Arenal I recommend a night hike, anything on a river - maybe Cano Negro would interest you, and even though you will see the falls at La Paz do try to hike down to La Fortuna Waterfall it is spectacular and different from the experience at La Paz.

And while at Peace Lodge, try to get over to Poas. The two volcanoes are totally different. And maybe take in a tour of Doka Coffee Plantation - I am addicted to Costa Rican Coffee, Tres Generations is very good, as is their coffee liqueur, Cafe Rica!
