Iguazu Falls Help

We are travelling to the falls on the 12th to the 15th of November and cannot find accomodation on the Argentina side. Can anyone suggest a way to find a place to stay? We have our flights booked already and are getting a bit panicked.

Thanks JaneB. We have tried the Saint George but they have no vacancy. This seems to be a common theme in both Iguazu and Buenos Aires. It seems very dificult to find something. Posting here is our last hope or we will have to cancel our flight to Iguazu.

Try hotelclub.com - we got reservations at the Iguazu Sheraton when all else failed.

Thanks Anneg. I am waiting for confirmation from Hotel Club. Are they reputable? Has anyone used them before and had problems when they checked in?

We are also going to be at the falls, a week later than you. We made all our reservations through a very reputable travel agent that came highly recommended. Her name is Daniela Rodriguez and her email is [email protected]. If you contact her, please tell her Shelley sent you.

Thank you Shelley. I have sent an email to Daniela and mentioned your name. Hopefully she can help. Each hour that goes by the more stressed we become.

I was worried about hotelclub.com because you have to pay up front. I did some research on the internet to see if I could find anything adverse on them. I could not find anything bad. Their rates were very good, so I risked it (I also had air reservations already). There was no problem at the Sheraton, so everything should be fine for you too.

Thanks anneg. That is good to know. I have not heard back from hotel club and am a bit worried because they say no refund if cancelled within five days which is Monday for us. I am considering cancelling my request if they do not respond today.

I can feel for you, lonely, because I am having the exact same problems with a hotel in Easter Island, Chile, for February. You provide your credit card info and then nobody gets back to you. This has happened to me 4 times already! I have to wonder when they'll start shopping on QVC shopping network using my CC number! I guess I'll be sleeping amoung the statues (can't think how to spell the word for them)!! Good luck. I'm worrying about you now also!!

I return home next Tuesday, where I have the name/contact information for a group of cottages outside of town that are as nice as any hotel other than the Sheraton....Supara Cataratas....If the ta contacts you before then, perhaps she can help with reservations there.....

Your sentiment is appreciated JaneB. It is an awful feeling that is for sure. I went on http://www.welcomeargentina.com/puer...u/lodging.html and emailed nearly everyone there. I am having some luck with that so am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. drdawwgy I will certainly look for your post on Tuesday. A third party recommendation is awlays nice to have. Thanks again.

Ana,

Are you a travel agent soliciting business or simply a helpful Argentina?
