How much is a drvier from Arenal to MA?

Has anyone hired a driver to take them from Arenal to MA? I'm wondering what the approximate cost is and if you could recommend some drivers.

I emailed 3 drivers whose names I found from tripadvisor almost a month ago and haven't heard from any of them, so if anyone has reliable recommendations, please let me know, thanks!

Hi, nina - we hired drivers through all of our hotels. I think we paid $120 to go from SJO to Arenal and $180 to go from Arenal to MA.

You may also want to consider using Interbus. Although you'll probably share your ride with others, it's a much cheaper option that is still very convenient (about $30 per person--- delivers you right to your hotel door). Their website is quite informative.

Interbus does get really good reviews - might be a good option for you. Lots of people use it.

I agree, Interbus is a good deal & reliable.

For a driver, you can contact Alberto Artavia at [email protected] Very helpful & quick to respond.

Thanks, since there are 4 of us, the cost for a driver wouldn't be much different for a bus vs. private driver.

I'll check with the hotels to see if they can recommend drivers or maybe we'll just bite the bullet and rent a car.

Good Morning Folks...

If I get to Monteverde from Arenal, how long and at what cost to get back to SJO?? Is the drive from Monteverde to SJO a nice viewing trip???

Thanks,
Leigh
